Brownie Batter Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats (blended into a fine powder)

  • 1 cup milk of choice

  • 2 Tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1-2 Tbsp maple syrup 

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • Optional: protein powder, nut/seed butter, coffee/espresso powder

Instructions

  1. Whisk all ingredients together in a small pot until no more clumps of cocoa powder are visible.

  2. Heat over high heat until the oatmeal thickens a bit and some bubbles form on the rim, whisking continuously.

  3. Turn to low heat and mix with a spatula until at desired consistency (I usually do about 1 minute).

  4. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
